y=2x^5-x^4+2x^3-6x^2+2x+4\ldots.(2)
y=-4x^3-10x^2+7x+5\ldots.(3)

Highest power of the equations says the number of solutions in the equation.

For equation (1) 1 is the highest power.

No of solutions in equation (1) is 1.

For equation (2) 5 is the highest power.

No of solutions in equation (2) is 5.
