Solution

For slope(m) to form a perpendicular

M_1* M_2=-1
\begin{gathered} M_1=(1)/(4) \\ (1)/(4)* M_2=-1 \\ M_2=-4 \\ \end{gathered}

Now to identify the equation that pass through (-2,-6)

\begin{gathered} M_2=\text{ }(y-y_1)/(x-x_1) \\ (x_{1\text{ ,}}y_{1\text{ }})\text{ =(-2,-6)} \\ -4_{}=\text{ }\frac{y-(-6)_{}}{x-(-2)_{}} \\ -4_{}=\text{ }\frac{y+6_{}}{x+2_{}} \\ cross\text{ mulitply} \\ y+6=-4(x+2) \end{gathered}
