Answer: Provided the following data set, we have to determine the mean if we remove the outlier value in the data set:

4,5,5,7,9,17

The outlier value is:

17

Therefore the average with and without outlier is as follows:

\begin{gathered} A_1=(4+5+5+7+9+17)/(6)=7.8333 \\ \\ A_2=(4+5+5+7+9)/(5)=6 \\ \\ A_1>A_2 \end{gathered}

Therefore the answer is:

\text{ It will Increase}
