The total angle measures a quadrilateral has is 360 degrees and in the problem, we are told that two of the angles are both 90 degrees. So thats 180 degrees out of the way and now we have x+(x-38)=180 which is 2x-38=180 then you add 38 to both sides to get rid of the 38 on the left side and then you end up with 2x=218 so you have to divide both sides by 2 to remove the 2 from x and you would get x=109
