let x be the length of PR. Let y be the length of QR.

we get that the length of PQ is:

z=\sqrt[]{x^2+y^2}

so we get that:

\sin P=(y)/(z),\cos Q=(y)/(z),\tan P=(y)/(x),\tan Q=(x)/(y)
