we need the radius to find the area, so we will get the radius from the perimeter

the measure of the rope will be the perimeter of the circle

the formula of the permiter of a circle is

P=2*\pi* r

now replace the value of pi and the rope to solve r

\begin{gathered} 10=2*3.14* r \\ r=(10)/(2*3.14) \\ \\ r=1.6 \end{gathered}

the radius is 1.6ft

to calculate the area we use the formula

A=\pi* r^2

and replace the value of pi and r

\begin{gathered} A=3.14*1.6^2 \\ A=8.04 \end{gathered}

the area of the darden bed is 8.04 square feet
