1) To graph inequalities, let's solve them and then graph:

3x +2 > 12 Subtract two from both sides

3x > 10

x> 10/3

2) Let's represent that solution on a number line

Since that inequality is x > 10/3 , then any point beyond 10/3 up to infinity will belong to that. We can represent also an interval.

In a cartesian plane, we'll represent that as a dashed line (since it's >) this way:

3) A function can be distinguished from a relationship if, for every entry of x, there is one and only corresponding value on the Range.

In this case, we have a function. Each entry of x has one and only output in Y.

Not a function, 2 corresponds simultaneously to 5 and 6, and not to one and only value (output) in Y.
