You spin the spinner twice. 1 3 2 What is the probability of landing on a 1 and then landing on an even number? Simplify your answer and write it as a fraction or whole number.

If the spinner has 3 different numbers, the probability of landing on each number is 1/3.

So, the probability of landing on 1 is 1/3.

We have only one even number (2), so the probability is also 1/3.

Now, to find the final probability, we just need to multiply both these probabilities (of each case):


P=(1)/(3)\cdot(1)/(3)=(1)/(9)

So the probability is 1/9.
