Given

To find the value of x.

Now,

From the figure,

\begin{gathered} \tan x=(CD)/(DE) \\ \tan x=(20)/(9.7) \\ \tan x=2.0618 \end{gathered}

That implies,

\begin{gathered} x=\tan ^(-1)(2.0618) \\ x=64.1266 \\ x=64.1\degree \end{gathered}

Hence, the value of x is 64.1 degrees.
