The slope-intercept form of a line is given by:

y=mx+b

Where:

b = y-intercept

m = slope

The slope is:

\begin{gathered} m=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1) \\ (x1,y1)=(-3,-5) \\ (x2,y2)=(0,4) \\ m=(4-(-5))/(0-(-3))=(9)/(3)=3 \end{gathered}

Using the point-slope equation:

\begin{gathered} y-y1=m(x-x1) \\ y-(-5)=3(x-(-3)) \\ y+5=3x+9 \\ y=3x+4 \end{gathered}

Therefore:

The slope is 3 and the y-intercept is 4.
