54x^2+208x-308=-2x-8
54x^2+208x-308+2x+8=0
54x^2+210x-300=0
9x^2+35x-50=0 (divided both sides by 6)
9x^2+45x-10x-50=0 (wrote the 35x as a difference)
9x(x+5)-10(x+5)=0
(9x-10)(x+5)=0
Now solve the equations:
9x-10=0
x=10/9
x+5=0
x=-5

Therefore, x has two solutions, 10/9 and -5!!
