1. turn both equation in the form of y=mx+c

x+2y=2

2y=2-x

y=1
-(1)/(2) (the gradient for this equation is
-(1)/(2)

6x-3y=211

-3y=-6x+211

y=2x
-(211)/(3) (the gradient for this equation is 2)

therefore, it is perpendicular because when you multiply both the gradient it is -1 (in addition the reciprocal of 2 is
-(1)/(2) and the reciprocal for
-(1)/(2) is 2 therefore they are perpendicular)
