Hi, I am a non native english speaker, I wanted to verify my english homework in this space. Thank you for your help

1) make 5 sentences, using the verb to be in contrast with the simple past tense

*Negative: We weren't at the movies, when you called

*Affirmative: I was at school, when my friend came
*Negative: I wasn't at school, when my friend came

*Affirmative: The cat was on the bed when the bell rang
*Negative: The cat wasn't on the bed, when the bell rang

*Negative: We weren't at the park, when we met Anna

*Affirmative: They were in Madrid, when my mom arrived to Venezuela

I just need to know if I answered it all well... please, my teacher is super strict

They all look correct except the last one. I think that it would be
-They were in Madrid when my mom arrived *in* Venezuela.
- They weren’t in Madrid when my mom arrived *in* Venezuela.

And ensure to add full stops at the end of your sentences.
Good luck.
