SOLUTION

The equation of a line in slope-intercept form is

\begin{gathered} y=mx+b \\ \text{where } \\ m=\text{ slope, b=Intercept on y} \end{gathered}

Given the equation

4x-y=12

Then the slope-intercept form is

\begin{gathered} 4x-y=12 \\ \text{subtract 4x from both sides } \\ 4x-4x-y=12-4x \\ -y=12-4x \\ \text{Multiply both sides by -1} \end{gathered}
\begin{gathered} -1(-y)=-1(12-4x) \\ y=-12+4x \\ \text{rewrite the equation in slope intercept form } \\ y=4x-12 \end{gathered}

Therefore

The slope-intercept form of the equation is y=4x-12

The graph of the equation is given in the image below
