The slope between two points (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) is given by:

m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

plugging the values of the points given we have:

\begin{gathered} m=(-6-(-8))/(7-14) \\ m=(-6+8)/(-7) \\ m=(2)/(-7) \\ m=-(2)/(7) \end{gathered}

Therefore the slope is -2/7
