it is given that

2 1/2 pound cost is 7.45 $

5/2 pound cost 7.45 $

1 pound cost 7.45/ (5/2) = 7.45 x 2 /5

so 6 pound cost is = (7.45 x 2 x 6) / 5

= 89.4/5

= 17.88 $

so the cost of 6 pounds is 17.88 $
