To solve this, we will follow the steps below:

(x + 2)(x - 17) = 0

From the above

Either (X+2) = 0

x+2=0

subtracting 2 from both-side

x+2-2 = 0-2

x=-2

Similarly

X-17 =0

adding 17 to both-side of the equation

x - 17+17 = 0+17

x=17

Therefore nanny is wrong

The zeros of the equation are -2 and 17
