Equation number 1 is the standard form of a second grade polinomial

As you can see, a is the number that is multiplying x^2

b is the number that is multiplying x

and c is just a number

For example: 3x^2 + 2x + 1 = 0

a = 3, b = 2 and c = 1

To find the solution of one of this equations (second grade polinomial), we use the formula in equation number 2

It is a formula where you can find the vlaues of x that solve the equation number 1

To use this formula, you need to know the values of a, b an c

For example: 4x^2 + 5x + 1 = 0

a = 4, b = 5, c = 1

Using the formula:

So we have two solutions:

(-5+3)/8 = -2/8 = -1/4

and

(-5-3)/8 = -8/8 = -1

The solutions, or the values of x that solve the equation 4x^2 + 5x + 1 = 0 are x = -1/4 and x = -1
