We can find the slope of a line that passes through the points ( x1,y1) and (x2,y2) by means of the following formula:

m=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

Replacing the x and y-values of the given points (10, 4) and (7,3) into the above equation, we get:

m=(3-4)/(7-10)=(-1)/(-3)=(1)/(3)

Then, the slope of the line that passes through the points (10, 4) and (7,3) equals 1/3
