The general expression for the equation of line is :

y-y_1=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)(x-x_1)

Consider any two coordinates of the line in the given graph :

A(0,2) and B(-4,0)

Substitute these coordinates in the general equation of line :

\begin{gathered} y-y_1=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)(x-x_1) \\ \text{ for (0},2)\text{ \& (-4,0)} \\ y-2=(0-2)/(-4-0)(x-0) \\ y-2=(-2)/(-4)x \\ y-2=(1)/(2)x \\ y=(1)/(2)x+2 \end{gathered}

The equation of line is y = 1/2x + 2

Answer : C) y = 1/2x + 2
