We are looking at the problem where repetitions of color are not allowed. For the first selection of color, we have 9 color options that can be chosen. Upon getting the first color, there are only 8 remaining colors for selection. After the second selection, we only got 7 remaining collar colors to select. The total selections that are possible if repetitions of colors are not allowed will be

9*8*7=504

A total of 504 collar selections is possible if repetition of colors is not allowed.

Answer: 504
