Given The graph of a line with a slope of -5

As shown the line pass through the point ( 2 , -8 )

The general point slope form is :

y-k=m\cdot(x-h)

where m is the slope and ( h , k ) the coordinates of the point

so,

\begin{gathered} m=-5 \\ (h,k)=(2,-8) \\ \\ y-(-8)=-5\cdot(x-2) \\ \\ y+8=-5(x-2) \end{gathered}

So, the answer is option D. y + 8 = -5(x-2)
