In order to calculate the equation of the line y=mx+b, first we would need to calculate the slope with the following formula:

slope=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

line passes through points (-4, -5); (2, 3)

So

Slope=(3+5)/(2+4)

slope=8/6

slope=4/3

Therefore, by substitute at the equation of the line a x point like 2 and a y point like 3 we would be able to calculate the equation of the line as follows:

y=mx+b

3=4/3*2 + b

3- 8/3=b

b=1/3

The equation of a line would be y=4/3x + 1/3
