A scientist placed 100 bacteria in a petri dish. The number of bacteria triples every 12 hours. How many bacteria, to the nearest bacterium, will be in the dish after 36 hours?

36/3 = 3

The bacteria will triple thrice in 36 hours.

Thus, 100*3

Then 300*3

Then 900*3
