the equation of line "C" is y= -38x + 47. line "D" is perpendicular to "C". what is the slope of line "D"?

1) Considering that y=-38x +47 and line D is perpendicular, then we can write the slope of D as:


m_D=-(1)/(m_c)

The reciprocal and opposite of line C.

2) So the slope of D, is going to be


m_D=-(1)/(-38)=38

3) Hence, the answer is the slope of D is 38
