The length of rectangle is x and width of rectangle is 4.5 in. The perimeter of rectangle is atleast 20 inches and area of rectangle is no more than 58.5 inches square.

Determine the perimeter of rectangle.


\begin{gathered} P=2(x+4.5) \\ =2x+9 \end{gathered}

The perimeter is atleast equal to 20 inches, means that perimeter is more than or equal to 20.


\begin{gathered} P\ge20 \\ 2x+9\ge20 \end{gathered}

PART B:

Determine the area of rectangle.


\begin{gathered} A=4.5\cdot x \\ =\text{4}.5x \end{gathered}

The area of rectangle is no more than 58.5 means that area is less than or equal to 58.5,


\begin{gathered} A\leq58.5 \\ 4.5x\leq58.5 \end{gathered}
