Given:

f\mleft(x\mright)=4x^(-3)+10x

Polynomial is represented as,

\begin{gathered} p(x)=a_nx^n+a_(n-1)x^(n-1)+.\ldots\ldots\ldots a_1x+a_0 \\ n\text{ is non-negaitve integer} \\ a_i\text{ are real} \end{gathered}

For the given function,

4x^(-3)\text{ has power -3.}

Therefore, the given function is not polynomial.
