We want to reflect Trapezoid JKLM about the line y = 1. The graph below shows the points and the line:

Reflection about y = 1 would mean that the reflected points would be at same x-coordinate but y coordinate would be same distance from the line y = 1.

y coordinates of reflected points:

• J >>> 2 units up from y = 1, so reflected point would be 2 units down from y = 1

Thus,

J'(-4, -1)

• K >>> 6 units up from y = 1, so reflected point would be 6 units down from y = 1

Thus,

K'(-2,-5)

• L >>> 6 units up from y = 1, so reflected point would be 6 units down from y = 1

Thus,

L'(2,-5)

• M >>> 2 units up from y = 1, so reflected point would be 2 units down from y = 1

M'(3,-1)

The reflected points are shown in graph below [in blue]:
