Find the area of the triangle, and subtract the area of the 2 circles.

Area of a rectangle: length x width

Length = 18 cm

Width = diameter of each circle = 18/2 = 9 cm

A1 = 18 x 9 = 162 cm2

Now, the area of the circles

Area of a circle = π r^2

Where:

r = radius = diameter /2 = 9/2 = 4.5

A2 = A3 = π (4.5)^2 = 63.61 cm2

Subtract A2 and A3 to A1:

A= 162 - 63.61-63.61 = 34.77 cm2
