• Ray: a line that has a fixed starting point but no endpoint.

Rays AB and AC have point A in common, generally called the vertex. From A, both rays go in different directions, forming the angle.

However, this also forms a line because both rays, in theory, are lines. They just tend to continue to infinity in one direction.
