Alan, Betty, and carol invested in a corporation in the ratio of 2:3:4 respectively, if they divide the profit of $14, 850 proportionally to their investments, how much will each receive?

Ratio - 2:3:4


\begin{gathered} 2x+3x+4x=14850 \\ 9x=14850 \\ x=(14850)/(9)=1650 \end{gathered}

Alan: $3,300


2x=2\cdot1650=3300

Betty: $4,950


3x=3\cdot1650=4950

Carol: $6,600


4x=4\cdot1650=6600
