Using only a straight edge, and a compass, construct the perpendicular bisector of AB below. Explain how this construction shows that point C is closer to point A than to point B

1) Put the compass with center at A and move the compass trhough C and draw a line

2) Put the compass with center at B and move the compass trhough C and draw a line

Then connect the point C with the line AB and that would represent the perpendicular bisector for the problem
