Given that

There are some parts and we have to solve them to get the answers.

Explanation -

(a). 51 pounds of seeds can be planted on 8 acres of land.

It can be written as

8 acres = 51 pounds---------------(i)

and we have to find the pounds of seed per acre. So dividing the eq(i) by 8

1 acre = 51/8 pounds of seed

1 acre = 6.375 pounds of seeds.

After rounding off to the nearest hundredth we have

1 acre = 6.38 pounds of seed

So 6.38 pounds of seeds will be planted per acre.

(b). The rent for the usage of 8 hours for a bike is $29.

It can be written as

$29 = 8 hours----------------(ii)

and we have to find the hours he gets per dollar. So dividing eq(ii)by 29 we have

$1 = 8/29 hours

$1 = 0.275 hours

After rounding off to the nearest hundredth we have

$1 = 0.28 hours.

So 0.28 hours will be given for 1 dollar.
