f(x) = 3x + 1

and

g(x) = 5x - 7

equate both the equation

3x + 1 = 5x - 7

5x - 3x = 7 + 1

2x = 8

x = 8/2 = 4

x = 4

put x = 4 in f(x) = 3x + 1

f(4) = 3(4) + 1 = 12 + 1 = 13

thus, the intersection point is (4, 13)

that is option B.
