We need to find the median of the scores in the frequency table given.

For an odd number of values in a set, the median is the value that divided the set into two subsets with the same number of values (for an ordered set of values).

Since the scores are already ordered, we need to find the score that occupies the central position in the set.

Notice that the sum of the frequencies tells us the number of scores values:

1+2+2+6+8+8=27

Therefore, the central value is the one that occupies the 14th position in the set.

And this value is 5.

Answer

Median: 5
