Given the equation of the line:


x=(1)/(2)y-(1)/(2)

To graph the line, we will assume two values for y and find the corresponding values of x

so, when y = 3,


x=(1)/(2)\cdot3-(1)/(2)=(3)/(2)-(1)/(2)=1

And when y = -1


x=(1)/(2)\cdot-1-(1)/(2)=-(1)/(2)-(1)/(2)=-1

So, the line passes through the points (-1, -1) and (1, 3)

Connect the points and extend the line from both ends

So, the graph of the line will be as shown in the following picture:
