Smallest: 12.8 square meters

Largest: 13.5 square meters

Explanation:

I'm not 100% sure I understand this correctly as it seems like a very strange problem, but here it goes.

The smallest number that rounds to 3.2 is 3.15, and the smallest number that rounds to 4.1 is 4.05.


3.15*4.05=12.7575

The smallest possible area is 12.8 rounded to the nearest 10th.

The largest number that rounds to 3.2 is 3.24999... and the largest that rounds to 4.1 is 4.14999...


3.24999*4.14999=13.4875

That rounds to 13.5.
