The area, A, of a rectangle with dimensions l and b is given by:

A = l times b

Therefore the total area of the two opposite and congruent rectangular sides with

the dimension 6 by 5 is:

2*6*5=60ft^2

The total area of the two opposite and congruent rectangular sides with

the dimension 6 by 7 is:

\begin{gathered} 2*6*7=84ft^2 \\ The\text{ total area of the two opposite and congruent rectangular sides with the dimension} \\ 5\text{ by 7 is:} \\ 2*5*7=70ft^2 \\ \\ \text{Hence the total surface area = 60+84+70=214 square ft} \\ \\ \text{Therefore the cost per square foot = }(856)/(214)=4dollars\text{ per square foot} \end{gathered}
