We have to find the price C of each candy bar.

We know that the magazine and the 8 candy bars costs a total of $30.

As the magazine costs $6, we can write:

6+8C=30

We can solve it as:

\begin{gathered} 6+8C=30 \\ 8C=30-6 \\ 8C=24 \\ C=(24)/(8) \\ C=3 \end{gathered}

Answer: each candy bar costs $3.
