We have an equation representing the sales y in function of the price x:

y=-2000x+28000

With this function we can find the sales for any given price.

To calculate the sales when the price is $4.50, we replace x with 4.50 and calculate y:

\begin{gathered} y(4.5)=-2000\cdot4.5+28000 \\ y(4.5)=-9000+28000 \\ y(4.5)=19000 \end{gathered}

Answer: the sales for a price of $4.50 are 19000 noodles.
