Answer:

The Number of hours that Tim worked last week is

=50\text{ hours}

The amount earned per hour is

=14.50

Thus, the amount earned per week without overtime will be

\begin{gathered} =14.50*40 \\ =580 \end{gathered}

For overtime, he earns an additional half of the usual pay per hour.

Thus, the total he earns per hour with overtime is

\begin{gathered} =14.50+((14.50)/(2)) \\ =14.50+7.25 \\ =21.75 \end{gathered}

The additional hours he worked as overtime is

\begin{gathered} =50-40 \\ =10\text{ hours} \end{gathered}

The amount he will earn plus overtime will be

\begin{gathered} =580+(21.75*10) \\ =580+217.50 \\ =797.50 \end{gathered}

Hence,

His gross pay will be = $797.50
