A carpenter has wood that is 5x+2 feet long. How long is the wood after 2x-5 feet have been cut off. (type in your solution so i can learn from it thanks)

I am pretty sure that it is 3x+7

5x+2 - (2x - 5)

= 5x + 2 - 2x + 5

= 3x + 7
