What mass of whole blood (in kg) can be contained in a plastic container whose dimensions are 125 mm by 110 mm by 35 mm? See chart for density of whole blood at 37C.

The mass of whole blood is 0.51 kg.

Given data:

The dimensions of container is 125 mmx 110 mm x 35 mm.

From the chart, the density of whole blood at 37 C is,

\rho=(1060kg)/(m^3)

The volume of container can be calculated as,

\begin{gathered} V=125mm*110mm*35mm \\ V=481250mm^3*(1m^3)/(10^(-9)mm^3) \\ V=4.8125*10^(-4)m^3 \end{gathered}

The mass of whole blood will be,

\begin{gathered} \rho=(m)/(V) \\ (1060kg)/(m^3)=(m)/(4.8125*10^(-4)m^3) \\ m=0.51kg \end{gathered}

Thus, the mass of whole blood is 0.51 kg.
