To round numbers there is a rule to follow.

If the next number is between 0 and 4, then you round it to the previous integer, for example

8.544 → round it to the next hundreth as →8.54

If the next number is between 5 and 9, then you rounf it to the next integer, for example:

8.546 → round it to the next hundreth as → 8.55

For the given value

Since the next digit is less than 5, then you have to round it to the previous integer, that is

1.0835 → 1.08
