(A) Given the points (5, -2) and (5, 6);

The slope m, of a line passing through two points is given as;

\begin{gathered} m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1) \\ \text{Where m=slope} \\ x_1=5 \\ x_2=5 \\ y_1=-2 \\ y_2=6 \end{gathered}
\begin{gathered} m=(6-(-2))/(5-5) \\ m=(8)/(0) \\ m=\infty\text{ (undefined)} \end{gathered}

The slope of the line passing through the points (5, -2) and (5, 6) is undefined

(B) Given the points (-7, 3) and (-7, -3)

Similarly, the slope is given as;

\begin{gathered} m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1) \\ \text{Where m= slope} \\ x_1=-7 \\ x_2=-7 \\ y_1=3 \\ y_2=-3 \end{gathered}
\begin{gathered} m=(-3-3)/(-7-(-7)) \\ m=-(6)/(0) \\ m=\infty\text{ (undefined)} \end{gathered}

The slope of the line passing through the points (-7, 3) and (-7, -3) is undefined.
