None of these choices

1) Gathering the data

Mrs. Mendoza

30 lb bag of oranges -- $ 31.50

5 lb bag of orange --- $6.05

2) Let's set those ratios below to find out the price per pound:

30 lb ------------------- 31.50

1 lb --------------------- x

30x = 31.50 Divide both sides by 30

x =31.50/30

x=$1.05

To get 30 pounds She would have bought 6 bags of 5 lb

30 lb -------------- 5x 6.05 =30.25

30lb ------------ 30.25

1lb -------------- y

30y = 30.25

y= 30.25/30

y= 1.008 roundig off to the nearest hundredth: 1.01

3) Hence, She would have saved

1.05 - 1.01 = 0.04

She'd saved $0.04 per lb.

Then the answer is None of these choices
