To find a missig side in a right trianle use the Pythagorean theorem:

hypotenuse^2=leg1^2+leg2^2

In the give triangle the x is the hypotenuse.

\begin{gathered} \text{hypotenuse}=\sqrt[]{leg1^2+leg2^2} \\ \\ x=\sqrt[]{6^2+8^2} \\ \\ x=\sqrt[]{36+64} \\ \\ x=\sqrt[]{100} \\ \\ x=10 \end{gathered}

Then, the value of x is 10
