q(x) = 3x-3

r(x) = -x-3

Find r(q (2))

step 1

Find the value of q(2)

For x=2

q(2)=3(2)-3

q(2)=3

step 2

Find r(q(2))

Remember that

q(2)=3

so

r(q(2))=r(3)

For x=3

r(3)=-3-3

r(3)=-6

therefore

r(q(2))=-6
