We are given the following equation:

C=(1)/(3)h(s+b)

To solve for "s" we will first multiply both sides by 3:

3C=h(s+b)

Now we divide both sides by h:

(3C)/(h)=s+b

Now we subtract b to both sides:

(3C)/(h)-b=s

And thus we solve for "s".
