When you have a ordered pair (x,y): x is the units the point is from the 0; to the left if it is -x and to the right if it is +x. y is the units units he point is from the 0; down if it is -y and up if it is +y

You have ordered pair (-2 1/2, 3)

x= -2 1/2

The point is 2 1/2 (2.5) units to the left of 0

y=3

The point is 3 units up from 0

Point K represents the given ordered pair
